Responsibilities :
Inventory
• To ensure regular cycle counts are performed and to investigate root cause of discrepancies and initiate corrective action.
• To act as main contact for PSD to facilitate principal request and assist & lead all stock counts initiated.
• To optimize locations capacity and stock placement efficiency.
• Ensure all products are stored and maintained according to storage specifications.
• To monitor all holding locations such as: TEMP, TRANS, WX, etc and provide monthly updates to management.
• Ensure stock holding and location accuracy is maintained according to company standards.
Trade Returns
• To monitor and manage the return activities within the warehouse.
• To control all the returns for damage stocks and ensure they are reported and handled properly.
• To control all the returns and ensure quantity, quality, expiry and batch are properly reported against return documents.
• To ensure the operations meet both internal & external customers’ service targets and in compliance with approved operating procedures.
• To monitor and ensure safety standards are maintained and adhered to.
• To monitor and ensure good housekeeping is carried out.
• To assist in controlling and organizing the utilization of resources ie. space, manpower and equipment to ensure effective utilization and minimize operating cost.
• To coordinate with PSD on solving any returns issues and arranging for principals to inspect goods before disposal.
• To investigate complaints, ensuring Request Credit Notes (RCN) are promptly and accurately Credit Noted (CN) and make recommendations to NLM on the complaints and status of RCN.
• To provide necessary reports such as performance measurements (KPI).
• To meet company standards of performance for processing returns and CNs.
SDS Systems
• To ensure all items are properly maintained and set-up.
• To study system ways of helping to manage the warehouse more efficiently.
• To do some system problem solving faced by the workers and liaise with the IT people.
Staff Development
• To provide continuous on-the-job training, coaching and counseling for skills and competency development of all sub-ordinates and to recommend external training as and when appropriate.
Communication
• To ensure there is prompt and effective communication both internally and externally to keep all interested parties informed proactively. This includes but is not limited to, superiors, sub-ordinates, colleagues, principals and customers.
ISO
• To resume the role and responsibilities of ‘Committee Member’ in the ISO Committee.
• To ensure all operational processes adhere to the SOP's and to provide necessary training and coaching where required.
• To ensure SOP's are maintained up to date and that any changes necessary are done through the QMR.
• To continually review procedures, processes and training to achieve optimum quality and efficiency.
Requirements :
• Diploma or Degree in Logistics Management / Supply Chain Management or any other related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years experience in warehouse/logistics industries preferable in MNC / FMCG environments.
• In depth knowledge of current industry warehouse functions and practices.
