Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the Monthly Supply Chain closing process, which include:-
a) Analyze manufacturing variance accounts each month, such as price, forex and usage variance, wastages and returnable.
b) Review monthly cycle count reports for large variances. Monitor inventory levels for negative quantities and errors.
c) Review Slow Moving and No Activity reports for potential write offs. Ensure un-saleable and discontinued items are disposed of, written off or provided for as appropriate.
d) Review logistics cost.
• Reconcile G/L inventory balances on a monthly basis and monitor stock balances and holding days against target.
• Prepare cost estimates for new products and product changes.
• Compile cost data for preparation of annual budgets using SAP BPS ,which include:-
a) Coordination with Supply Chain and Sales departments
b) Calculate annual standard labor and overhead rates for each manufacturing process
c) Review bills of materials and routings for accuracy.
d) Standard cost increases for the following year (raw material, packaging, semi-variable and fixed costs).
• Act as a business partner to Supply Chain regarding all accounting issues, reporting and analysis.
• Perform other related appropriate duties or projects as assigned.
Requirements:
• Minimum Bachelor Degree in Accountancy or Professional Accounting Qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent.
• Member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).
• Minimum 5 years working experience with at least 3 years in process manufacturing and costing environment.
• Experience with ERP (SAP preferred)
• Well-versed in all aspects of product costing, in-depth understanding of SAP COPC and related reports
• Proficient with MS Office applications with in-depth knowledge of MS Excel and other applications.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical and communication skills
• Must be a team player and able to work independently.
