The Employees Provident Fund has set RM60,000 a year as the maximum for all voluntary contributions, including the 1Malaysia Retirement Savings Scheme, to be effective 1 January 2013.
Its Deputy Chief Exectutive Officer said in a statement yesterday that EPF voluntary contributors, comprising the self-employed and those who did not earn fixed monthly income including housewives, could contribute from as low as RM50 monthly.
