VACANCY : ACCOUNTANT

Responsibilities :

• Perform monthly closing & generate relevant reporting for manager review.

• Handling gross profit (COS) reconciliation.

• Develops financial reports for financial analysis, forecasting, trending, and results analysis.

• Compiles financial information, processes journal entries into various accounts, and reconciles reports and financial data.

• Records, classifies, and summarizes financial transactions and events in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.

• Applies a working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations; verifies documents for completeness and compliance with government and private agencies.

• Implementation of regional projects as assigned from time to time.

• Resolves accounting issues and discrepancies.

• Uses various software applications, such as spreadsheets, relational databases, statistical packages, and graphics packages to assemble, manipulate and/or format data and/or reports.

• On a regular and continuous basis, exercises administrative judgement and assumes responsibility for decisions, consequences, and results having an impact on people, costs, and/or quality of service within the functional area.

• Provide coaching, training, and directs the activities of two or more full-time staff.

• In-charge of Principals AR collection matters and issues arises.

• Handling AP payment to principals and AP reconciliation.

• Update Stocks Adjustment schedule and also principals reports/schedules.

• Process and check debit notes and credit notes to principals.

• Assist / coordinate with Regional Projects & Ad hoc tasks, e.g.: Auditing.

• Liaison with internal departments and principals on principals related issue and if necessary, meeting with principals.

• Handle payment on behalf of principals.

• Manage insurance related matters ie. declaration and insurance claims.

• Responsible for daily cash flow monitoring and treasury related matters.

Requirements :

• Professional Accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA & MICPA.

• Preferably with 3 years’ related or audit experience

• Experience in Hyperion Reporting and AS400 environment will be an advantage.

• Possess good knowledge of financial accounting systems.
