HR Executive (for Payroll) - Australia

Responsibilities :


• Provides day-to-day payroll support to the business units and/or HR Business Partner to ensure that the local/offshore payrolls are promptly and accurately. Ensures consistent application of policies and procedures.
• Provide effective and efficient support to the HR Business Partner to ensure the smooth running of the payroll of the various countries and business units.
• Provide day-to-day payroll support and advise to employees pertaining to payroll and tax related matters.
• Provide payroll related information for payroll processing to the vendor.
• Ensure that payroll vendor provides the users with guidance on interpretation of the payroll information.
• Liaise with Tax advisor and upon advice, assist in submission of Expatriate tax return either year or on ad-hoc basis upon resignation or relocation to another country.
• Provide payroll related information for audit purpose to auditors.
• Manage onshore payroll and offshore payroll on a monthly basis in a timely and accurate manner. As a regional offshore payroll administrator, it requires understanding of the regulatory requirements of the various countries and their pension plans.
• Check all computation submitted by vendor before payment.
• Ensure that all staff’s personal payroll records including banking information are centred in the offshore payroll system.
• Maintaining high level of checking and report back, initiate action where necessary
• Ensure compliance of HR Ops SOP and quality standard.
• Able to write and update SOP and work instructions (based on defined standards and convention)
• Keep process documentation up-to-date
• Able to initiate/lead process improvement projects


Requirements :


• Possess a relevant Diploma, Post Graduate HR professional qualification
• With relevant experience in payroll processing (above 5 yrs of experience for diploma holder and above 3 yrs of experience for degree holder)
• Has solid knowledge & experience (either in-house or outsource) in end-to-end payroll processing, leave administration & TMS functions
• Resourceful in finding payroll/statutory related information
• Multiple countries statutory knowledge and understand its implications from a payroll perspective
• Competent in utilizing Payroll system and computing tools (Words and advanced Excel)
• Understand inter-dependencies, interfaces and touch points of HR data/process
